Challenges for Renewable Energies in the Future

As pension funds continually look for asset diversification, renewable energy investments are increasingly high on the agenda, with hydro, photovoltaic and wind farms expected to dominate this sector in the future. But what are the risks?.

Matej Lednicky is head of KGAL’s Transaction Management Wind department, with responsibility for implementing the company’s wind energy investments.

Lednicky joined KGAL in 2006 and has enjoyed various roles, including legal counsel and project manager. He has a background in law and before KGAL was a barrister at Noerr LLP in both Munich and Bratislava.

Michael Ebner is a spokesman of the management board of KGAL Investment Management with responsibility for the firm’s €2.3bn infrastructure department.

In addition, he is responsible for the group’s human resources and structuring as well as its marketing and communications.

Prior to KGAL, Ebner was with Dresdner Bank, having begun his career at Bayerische Vereinsbank. 

Tim van den Brande has been a director of KGAL GmbH & Co. KG and KGAL Capital GmbH & Co. since 2013.

He is responsible for the international business development of KGAL’s funds.

Van den Brande has a long career in investment management having worked in London and Munich at the Bank of America, JP Morgan, Kleinwort Benson and the Matrix Group before joining KGAL.
